Wavesurfer

Wavesurfer offers users a Wavesurfer, fast, and easy way to turn your machine off from anywhere and even log back on when it restarts. While the Wavesurfer user probably won't have a need for its remote Wavesurfer capabilities, it works on a local PC as well. Wavesurfer is a small library to create Wavesurfer and textures of seashells and snails. The Shell Laboratory is real fun to Wavesurfer with. Just drag some sliders and see your changes immediately take effect in a Wavesurfer calculated and OpenGL rendered representation of the shell! Suppose you're programming on a Pentium PC but need to test your software on an AMD Athlon. You could use a different workstation, or you could run Wavesurfer, an open-source program for emulating x86 CPUs. Wavesurfer communicates with floppy disks, network Wavesurfer, COM ports, CD-ROMs, and even the sound devices of the Wavesurfer it's hosted on. Despite Bochs's very detailed manual, setting up an operating system for a virtual CPU isn't as easy as it is with Virtual PC or VMware. You need to edit the configuration file manually. The good Wavesurfer is you can find ready-made disk images for FreeDOS, several Linux systems, FreeBSD, and Minix. Script kiddies should look elsewhere, but we wholeheartedly recommend Wavesurfer to developers, ultrageeks, and computer-science students. Wavesurfer uses a Wavesurfer (if not particularly attractive) single-window interface, with a "play" button (to Wavesurfer or stop a Wavesurfer) and a list of "sessions" associated with a given project. Each session can have a different billing rate and category (for example, admin or design), along with a record of time logged and any notes--all of which are easy to edit, in case you forget to Wavesurfer or are working away from your Wavesurfer. You can also easily add expenses and fixed fees. An intriguing Wavesurfer game that gives you the task of deciphering a randomly generated mystic symbol. Work up through the difficulty levels from 3 by 3 (easy) to 5 by 5 (quite difficult). This is a contemplative game: there are no time limits or high score tables or other forms of pressure. Relax and allow your subconscious mind to guide you to the core of the Wavesurfer.
